insights from the Pope Francis interview
Posted: October 1, 2013 Filed under: Religion Leave a commentShortly after the publication of the America Magazine interview with Pope Francis, which I reflected on last week, Margaret Felice blogged about her insights after reading the interview. Margaret is fond of numbered lists, and she uses that technique here. She comments on each of those points, but it occurred to me that the points stand well on their own, without commentary and regardless of by whom the points were inspired. Of course, I commend the entire blog post to you, but perhaps think about each of these points from your own perspective before reading it.
- We have a “journey faith”
- Art matters
- God is always mercy-ing
- Sin happens, and we go on
- People can grow
- The Church is the People of God
- Faith begins with the saving love of God
