changing reading habits

I have written about making use of the public library. I don’t actually walk into the library and check out physical books, but I borrow e-books on a regular basis. The problem is that the recently published books that I want to read are the same ones that a lot of other people want to read as well. That means that I need to place a hold on the books I want to read. And what that means is that when a book on which I have placed a hold arrives (in the virtual sense) the three-week clock starts ticking. So if I’m reading a book I own I need to put it aside and pick up the one from the library.

A change in my routine and something different, but it works at a time when I need to watch my spending.
