pulled pork
Posted: July 8, 2015 Filed under: Cooking Leave a commentI did something different for dinner last week, which was nice because I haven’t been terribly creative in the kitchen since we arrived in Hemet.
I don’t normally watch Kelsey’s Essentials and the program is not currently in production with new episodes. However, on a whim I recorded an episode because I was short on cooking programs to watch. I think it was a slow week for new shows in advance of the July 4th holiday.
One of the recipes Kelsey showed was Slow Cooker Pulled Pork. I’ve never made anything like that before, but a) it looked easy, b) I had not used the crock pot since we got here, and c) there was half a roll of pork tenderloin that had been sitting in the freezer for a while.
It was very easy. It was delicious. Terry loved it.
One hint. If you make this do not omit the lime juice at the end. It makes all the difference. Kelsey emphasized that on the program and she was absolutely right.
It’s nice to attempt something different every once in a while.
