garden woes

Our container garden never got anywhere this year.

Of course we didn’t arrive here in Hemet until Cinco de Mayo, so we got a late start. Then there were several spells of really hot weather. And insects. And snails.

What we ended up with was two small Anaheim peppers and three small tomatoes. That’s it.

Terry is still trying. She’s working on green onions, but they’re progressing slowly. She has two bell pepper plants that look like they might blossom, but no real results yet.

It’s been a disappointment. Looking for better results next year.

Try some “winter crops”: kale, cabbage, baby lettuce.
