it’s different here

The world here in Southern California is different from the world of South Santa Clara County.

We have lizards here. Terry said that we had lizards in Gilroy, though I don’t recall seeing any. I see them regularly here. We have dragon flies here. Not in Gilroy. And, of course, crickets. I’ve mentioned crickets before.

In the Bay Area I always thought of the weather moving west to east, as that is the path that storms generally take up there. Here we can get storms coming up from the south, as we’ve experienced a few times this past summer with the remnants of hurricanes or tropical storms strengthened by El Niño.

It’s different here.
